VX Studio

Brand identity case study

Role: Brand identity · Art direction · Print · Digital
Deliverables: Identity · Stationery · Environmental graphics · Portfolio · Website

VX Studio is a Dubai-based architecture and development practice working across residential, commercial and hospitality projects. I developed a new visual identity to give the studio a distinctive and confident presence in a competitive market.

The challenge

The studio and its architectural projects

The brief was to create a simple yet distinctive identity that would work across print, digital and the built environment. The client wanted a typographic logo based on the VX name, without a separate symbol, that would remain recognisable at different scales — from stationery to architectural signage.

Developing the identity

Logo exploration and development

During my first visit to the studio, I was inspired by the architectural drawings and the way individual lines come together to form buildings and structures. This became the starting point for the logo exploration, using simple geometric forms to build the VX letterforms.

I tested the early concepts across applications such as stationery and signage to see how the identity would work beyond the logo itself.

Bringing the identity into the space

Office signage and environmental graphics

The identity extended beyond print into VX Studio's physical workspace. The logo was installed as office signage, while the geometric visual language was incorporated into environmental graphics.

Building the brand system

Print and editorial applications

I developed the identity across stationery, presentation materials and architectural portfolio publications. The challenge was to maintain a consistent visual language while allowing the studio's detailed architectural imagery to remain the focus.

Extending the brand online

Original website design

I also designed the studio's website, working closely with the client to organise the content and showcase its architectural portfolio. The website used an editable content management system, allowing the team to add and update projects independently.
